We're really excited to be working with your team.

To get Alex up and running for you, there's a few things we need. Please follow the simple steps below. If you need any help with a particular step, use the relevant request help button and a member of our team will be in touch to assist you.

Completing all the steps in one go should take no more than 15 minutes.

Each time you complete a step, click on "I've complete this step" button to track progress.

Enabling access to your Property Tree data

First we need to connect Alex to Property Tree so he can lookup your tenancy data.

Connecting Alex to PropertyMe

  1. Click on the Connect PropertyMe button below.
  2. Login to PropertyMe using your usual credentials.
  3. Click on 'Yes, Allow'.
  4. You will then be taken to the Rental Heroes website where we will ask for the email address of the person providing access.
  5. The connection process is then complete.

Enabling access to your PropertyMe data

  1. Click on the Connect PropertyMe button below.
  2. Login to PropertyMe using your usual credentials.
  3. Click on 'Yes, Allow'.
  4. You will then be taken to the Rental Heroes website where we will ask for the email address of the person providing access.

Enabling access to your VaultRE data

First we need to connect Alex to VaultRE so he can lookup your tenancy data.
(Refer to the instructions for screenshots of what to expect)

Connecting Alex to VaultRE

  1. Log into VaultRE and click on Office Integrations (can be found in left nav bar in the menu that appears when you click on your agency name) and then click on Third Party Access.
  2. In the bottom right corner click on Add Token.
  3. From the Third Party drop down, choose Rental Heroes.
  4. Ensure all the Scopes are selected and click on Create Token
  5. Rental Heroes should now appear in the Third Party column. Click on the clipboard icon to the right of the Token string to copy the long string of characters.
  6. Email your Token string to info@rentalheroes.com.au. The token will look something like this: mwefkxsarclsobptxevptgqjihieqbfnjgpjwtnr

Enabling access to your Palace data

First we need to connect Alex to Palace so he can lookup your tenancy data.

Connecting Alex to Palace

  1. An email will be sent by Rental Heroes, per the example below to api-feeds@getpalace.co.nz.
  2. The Principal of the agency should reply to this email confirming approval for this request.

Enabling access to your Re-Leased data

Help Requested

First we need to connect Alex to Re-Leased so he can lookup your tenancy data.

The following link will take you to Re-Leased’s login page where you will then be able to authorize access (refer to the instructions for screenshots of what to expect).

Connecting Alex to Re-Leased

  1. Click on the link provided to you by Rental Heroes.
  2. You will be taken to the Re-Leased login page, enter your login credentials as normal.
  3. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see the following screen confirming the access that will begranted to Rental Heroes. Click on Yes, Authorise This App.
  4. You’ll then be taken to the Rental Heroes website to finalise the registration. Enter your email address and click Complete Registration.
  5. That’s it! Alex will now be able to see your tenant data and will be able to log requests directly within Re-Leased!

Enabling access to your Reapit data

First we need to connect Alex to Reapit so he can lookup your tenancy data.

The following link will take you to Reapit’s login page where you will then be able to authorize access (refer to the instructions for screenshots of what to expect).

Connecting Alex to Reapit

  1. Click on the link provided to you by Rental Heroes.
  2. You will be taken to the Reapit login page, enter your login credentials as normal.
  3. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see the following screen confirming the access that will be granted to Rental Heroes. Click on Yes, Authorise This App.
  4. You’ll then be taken to the Rental Heroes website to finalise the registration. Enter your email address and click Complete Registration.
  5. That’s it! Alex will now be able to see your tenant data and will be able to log requests directly within Re-Leased!

Enabling access to PropertyMe

So that we can check Alex is sending data correctly to your PropertyMe instance, we request guest access to your PropertyMe portal.  

Granting front-end access to PropertyMe

  1. Log into PropertyMe and click on Settings (can be found in top nav bar in the menu that appears when you click on your agency name)
  2. In the left menu, go to Team > Members, click on Add Member and add dom@rentalheroes.com.au
  3. Set the role to read only.

Connect Alex to your Facebook page

Configure your preferred trades

Help Requested

Use the Excel sheet template to populate your preferred out of hours trades for urgent requests. Preferred trades are only shown, once Alex has troubleshooted the request and the request is deemed urgent and it’s out of hours.

If you prefer to not show preferred trades, you can add the details of your on-call property manager instead.

  1. Click on the button above to download the Excel template.
  2. Complete per the instructions in the template. Some example data has been included in the template to help you get started.
  3. Once complete, please email to info@rentalheroes.com.au

Normally, Alex's default options work for most agencies. However, we want to make sure everything is correct and answer any questions you may have before Alex goes live.
